Our spring break was perfect in the Bear Hug cabin! Coffee with a view on the porches, hot tubbing in the evening and even a game room for the kids. Comfy beds, full kitchen and Maggie and Eric were very informative with directions with no problem driving to the cabin. I highly recommend Bear Hug if you are staying in the Smokies!

Loved our stay at Bear Hug Cabin

So we reserved our booking about 9 months in advance with the previous owners. A couple weeks before our trip we were notified that the property had been sold and we had to cancel our booking. We were very disappointed until we talked to Eric and Maggie and they assured us they would honor our booking even though our reservation was only 5 days after they closed on the property. Once I got the refund from the first booking (which is very inconvenient due to the way Vrbo does refunds) Eric and Maggie created the reservation for me, and all I had to do was finalize payment. The cabin was AWESOME! The view is beautiful. We were not even there for an hour and saw a bobcat in the back yard. A few days into our stay we saw a female black bear and 2 little ones, it was amazing. Even though there was some inconvenience and worry due to the sale of the property, Eric and Maggie did everything they could to ensure we had a great trip and we very much appreciate it. Easily 5 stars.

Perfect!

This property is absolutely beautiful and the views don’t get any better. The cabin was very clean, so relaxing, quiet, and the perfect mountain top location. The owners checked in to make sure everything was going smooth even though I couldn’t say enough great things about this cabin. Thank you for hosting our family vacation!

Fantastic experience!

This is THE place to go to when visiting the Smoky Mountains. Fantastic views, all the amenities you could ask for, and responsive owners. I cannot say enough about our experience this week at Bear Hug. The cabin is fully stocked. The owners answered every question we had and were extremely helpful. An amazing Thanksgiving trip. Beautiful Cabin with Magnificent Views

As soon as we booked our reservation, both Maggie and Eric were dedicated in making sure all of our needs were met. They checked on us prior to travel, checked in on us once we arrived, making sure our experience was as they advertised. The Cabin was in great condition and provided the “mountain experience “ we anticipated. They were very attentive to our needs. We will definitely stay at Bear Hug when we visit the area again. Thank you Maggie and Eric for contributing to our families memories.

Waking up to that view was magical. New owners honored our reservation and were amazing. A black bear walked right up the street our first night there. Simply amazing!!

Loved it!

We loved the cabin! It was spacious and very clean. There were plenty of things to do at the cabin with the provided board games, pool table, hot tub and fire pit. The owners were easy to communicate with and checked on us during our stay to ensure everything was in order. We can’t wait for our next trip back!

We have found the property we will stay at each year. Eric and Maggie were beyond helpful. They met our expectations and exceeded them by leaps and bounds. If your looking for a great and beautiful place to stay without the corporate customer service you have found your cabin. This cabin was wonderful! Great view and nice beds. Superb Spring Break Getaway!

After researching several properties we decided on the cabin in Pigeon Forge with the amazing views - the photos didn't do justice to those views! From the time we booked, working with Maggie and Eric was so easy. Directions, access to the cabin, and everything inside was better than we expected. Clean, stocked with all the supplies we needed in the bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, BBQ, fireplace, tv's, arcade game (that was fun with the kids), comfortable beds, and so much more. There was lots of space for everyone but not so much we didn't feel together as well. First trip to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area and would go again and stay there again. Whether exploring the area or enjoying relaxing at the house it was a vacation my family will always remember. Thank you again for sharing your home!

Lovely location! Family friendly! Helpful hosts!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at BearHug cabin. The mountain views were terrific and the cabin thoughtfully appointed. We traveled with our parents and our 3 and 5 year old daughters and found the cabin to be great for all ages! The kiddos LOVED the bunk beds, the hot tub, the video game and the pool table – all way more than we had anticipated. We also really appreciated having kid plates/utensils on hand—made traveling with youngsters so much easier. TVs in every room were also a great amenity and the technology was easy to use and worked like it was supposed to. This includes the hot tub, the lights, the gas fireplace, outside gas fire pit, the grill... everything worked as it should. We also enjoyed our stay in the area generally. We saw bears in the national park and recommend that folks use the Wears Valley entrance to the park. This “back entrance” was super convenient. While we were staying, wildfires broke out on a neighboring mountain (don’t worry, this is not typical). This was stressful to say the least, but we were so grateful for how attentive Maggie and Eric were. We were in communication as we navigated whether we needed to evacuate (we did). We were able to return later to resume our vacation and they refunded that night of our stay without us even requesting it. We were really grateful for how they were most focused on our safety and made sure we had the info to make the best decision for our family about evacuating. Awesome cabin! Awesome hosts!
